Felicia Headley is a recent graduate of CBBC Career College. She JUST graduated from Aspirations Training Salon on July 22 and has since embarked on what is sure to be a wildly successful career! We asked Felicia to sit down with us and tell us about her journey and how her education has truly changed her life.

Q: Thanks so much for chatting with us today Felicia! Let’s start with the basics. What program did you take at CBBC Career College?
Felicia Headley: I took the Cosmetology – Hairdressing program which was offered out of Aspirations Training Salon in Sydney and I just graduated on July 22!
Q: Congratulations on your grad and on all of your success in the program. What are your plans now?
FH: To get to work! I have been offered four full-time hourly positions and have also received two chair rental offers. I only applied for one of these jobs too which is pretty cool. Lots of opportunities to work and put my skills to good use!
Q: WOAH! I’m so glad to hear that and we wish you so much success. What attracted you to the program at CBBC in the first place?
FH: I have always been interested in hairdressing. It is something that will allow me to use my creativity and get paid at the same time. A dream career for me!
Q: Why did you choose CBBC?
FH: There were a couple factors that helped me to choose CBBC. Past students had told me that they loved their time at the college, which was a big plus for me! Also, the program is less than a year so I could get out of school and working as fast as possible.
Q: Did CBBC give you all of the skills that you need to be successful?
FH: YES! CBBC gave me the skills I need to be successful, and MORE! I think that’s evident by all of my job offers. I feel confident and ready to start work and put all of my skills to good use. I’m very excited for the future.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who is considering a program at CBBC Career College?
FH: Don’t give up! The hours are long, and the work is hard but the instructors are there to help you. Take advantage of that. Never think you can’t do it, because you CAN!
