The Hairdressing Instructor is responsible for delivering theory and practical lessons to students using industry-approved curriculum and standards. He/She will:
-Provide training in Hair Theory, Hair Design, Hair Cutting, and other related modules
-Instruct students in the use of special equipment they need to complete the program
-Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings
-Teach the course components as outlined in the timeline in the designated time frame
-Prior to class, Instructors are to be prepared with all tests, assignments, and photocopy materials necessary
-Instructors are responsible for correcting of all tests, assignments, and projects for courses
-Effectively communicate the content of the course to all students in the program
-Maintain attendance records
-Follow comprehensive attendance policy as outlined by CBBC policy handbook
-All instructors should project a professional image
CBBC Career College is registered with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education-Private Career Colleges Division.
- Master Cosmetologist Certificate from Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia and be eligible for Instructor Certificate from CANS
- 5 years’ related work experience to course content being taught
- Redken experience is considered an asset
