What is an administrator?

An administrator is a person who ensures that an organization operates efficiently. This could be a business, in government, a charity, or any type of organization really. Their specific duties depend on the type of company, organization, or entity where they work. Above all, administrators need to be highly organized and have good communication skills.

Most administrators work full-time hours in a single location so if you’re looking for a traditional 9 to 5 type job setting this is a great place for you. Your duties will vary but they will probably include handling the mail, filing, photocopying, faxing, and general office duties like that. You may also be placed in a role where it is your responsibility to organize meetings and write and send correspondence

Our Business Administration program is designed to give you an extremely well-rounded education in all aspects of a business. To do so we cover the four major knowledge areas that anyone going into business or starting a business needs to know about: marketing, administration, human resources, and accounting. Because of this you may be asked to assume some marketing, accounting, or human resources responsibilities in your day-to-day work as well (exciting stuff!)

Are you a good fit?

As mentioned above, Administrators have to possess a very special set of skills. You have to be extremely organized but there are more soft skills that will help you succeed:

  • Good with technology
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Advanced time management skills
  • Strategic planning
  • Resourcefulness
  • Detail-oriented

So what are you waiting for?

Education that will allow you to succeed in various fields within the business sector is one of the smartest things that you can invest in. Start your own business, join one that needs your knowledge, or just sharpen skills that you already have to go further in a job you already hold. The possibilities are endless!

Make 2022 your year. Our next Business Administration program begins soon! Don’t wait, take the first step towards your new career today.

What Our Graduates Are Saying

[The students] have been absolutely amazing, and taking initiative with the care and their education (they have jumped in with confidence). They all have been extremely professional, and have built fantastic rapport with the residents and the staff, and if I had a spot for them I would hire them in a heartbeat.
