Whether you’re a recent graduate, a current student, or exploring CBBC for your future, this recap highlights some of the most memorable moments from the day and offers resources to help you plan your next steps!
Keynote Highlights: Words of Inspiration from Our Speakers
The 2024 Sydney Graduation featured several inspiring speeches, including addresses from Dr. Kimberley Lamarche, Dean of the School of Nursing at Cape Breton University, and Valedictorian Kim Murphy from the Teacher Assistant program. Both speakers emphasized resilience, community, and the importance of lifelong learning.
Dr. Lamarche urged graduates to embrace adaptability and leadership in their careers, reminding them that their education is just the start of a lifelong journey. Valedictorian Kim Murphy reflected on the close-knit community at CBBC Career College, recalling the support and camaraderie that helped her and her classmates overcome challenges, including the difficulties of “Snowmageddon 2024.” She also reminisced about memorable moments like the gingerbread house contest and spoke fondly of how CBBC faculty went above and beyond to help students succeed. Her message was one of gratitude and confidence, reminding graduates that the friendships and lessons from CBBC have prepared them for the exciting road ahead.
Celebrating Excellence: Photo Booth and Contest
To add to the fun and excitement, we had a 360-photo booth at the graduation, giving graduates and their loved ones the chance to capture creative, interactive memories. Check out our short highlight reel capturing some of the most unforgettable moments!
Graduates were encouraged to share their content from the booth and throughout the day for a chance to win in our photo contest. Congratulations to Aesthetics graduate Ceilidh Young, who won the contest and took home a gift basket valued at over $200!
Hands-On Training and Community Involvement: Empowering the Future
At CBBC Career College, we ensure our students are classroom-ready and workplace-ready. This year’s graduates participated in hands-on training through beauty competitions, healthcare placements, and practical experiences.
Beyond technical skills, the Class of 2024 also demonstrated their commitment to giving back. Whether delivering supplies to local homeless encampments or raising funds for charities, our graduates have shown that they are not only skilled professionals but also compassionate community leaders. We could not be more proud of the impact they are already making.
Congratulations, Class of 2024!
To our graduates, this milestone is only the beginning. You’ve worked hard to reach this point, and we know you’ll continue to make your mark in your chosen fields. CBBC is honored to have been a part of your journey, and we look forward to seeing the incredible things you will achieve. Remember, you have the skills, training, and support to thrive—and we’ll always be here cheering you on!
