The 34 week Administrative Assistant Program is designed to prepared students to enter the job market with the skills and knowledge of business and computers necessary to qualify them for responsible positions as Administrative Assistants. The program stresses thorough training in essential professional skills and mastery of business procedures and communications. The program gives students the essential skills they need to perform effectively in the technology-rich offices of the 21st century. Students learn to operate the most widely used word-processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and accounting software packages on the market today. The program also includes a marketing component to help you market your business in a world where social media dominates the business landscape.

admission requirements

Application, resume, and transcript of Grade 12 marks (or GED) must be received prior to your interview.

***Individuals interested in applying under the Alternate Admissions Policy:

  • The applicant must be 21 years of age or older by the first day of classes and has not attended high school for a minimum of 24 months.
  • The applicant must have completed a minimum of grade 10.
  • The applicant must achieve a level 14 on Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE)
  • The applicant must complete an interview with a designated CBBC admissions’ representative.
  • The applicant must provide a valid copy of their high school transcripts as well as an updated resume.
  • The applicant must submit two letters of reference from professional references

An interview must be completed before any acceptance into the program can be considered.
