Do you find you are the one friends and family come to for advice about how they should do their hair?
Do you enjoy helping others look and feel their best? Do you love talking with others and making small talk wherever you go?
Do you feel like beauty and art can intersect and can be used to express yourself as an artist while helping others?
You have always wanted to be able to branch out – to do unique, cool and expressive things with your career and not be put in a box creatively. You have a keen interest in helping others look and feel their best by expressing who they are, helping them to realize their own potential. You enjoy trying out new hairstyles on yourself, and trying the latest hair techniques.
The Cosmetology program (Hair Stylist program) at CBBC Career College will allow you to do all of this. Over the course of 10 months you will have earned both Cosmetology diplomas, allowing you to work as a hairstylist. We will prepare you to be career-ready and to meet the requirements in order to earn your licenses through the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia. Throughout the Cosmetology program industry experts will come and instruct, through theory and hands-on workshops, in order to help you learn the latest in the beauty industry. You will get hands-on practice throughout your program, both in labs and also in clinic experience, at our Aspirations Salon & Spa in Sydney, Nova Scotia and our Regency Training Salon & Spa in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You will have the opportunity to work with products like Redken, Reuzel, Quinessence, CND Nail Polish, and Bodyography.
And, as a CBBC Career College beauty student, you will have the opportunity to attend the International Beauty Show in New York City for free! This once in a lifetime trip!
“This program prepared me and gave me the confidence to enter the real business world. The close knit atmosphere CBBC has, made me very comfortable. Each and every staff member at CBBC was extraordinarily helpful on my journey in obtaining a full-time Administrative Assistant position in Cape Breton.” Courtney MacPhail Administrative Assistant / Offshore Technical Services
