This program provides the knowledge and skills development relevant to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings. Students will be trained to work in residential and community settings as a residential disability care worker.

admission requirements

Application, resume, and transcript of Grade 12 marks or GED must be received prior to the interview. An interview and aptitude test must be completed before any acceptance into the program can be considered. Students may be enrolled under the Alternate Admissions policy if they don’t have their grade 12 or GED. Call Admissions for details. It is a requirement for all students enrolled in this program to provide a clean Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check.

Graduates may obtain employment in day or resort spas, salons, beauty institutes, health clubs, cruise ships and cosmetic firms. They may also be employed as sales representatives for manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of esthetic products or may find opportunities for self-employment
