This program provides the knowledge and skills development relevant to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of educational settings. Students will be trained to work in elementary and secondary schools as a teacher assistant.
Application, resume, and transcript of Grade 12 marks or GED must be received prior to the interview. An interview and aptitude test must be completed before any acceptance into the program can be considered. It is a requirement for all students enrolled in this program to provide a clean Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
