Position Summary
As an Instructor in our Dental Assisting Program, you will be responsible for providing classroom and lab instruction to students of CBBC Career College using course materials approved by NS Department of Labour and Advanced Education. This is a nationally accredited program and maintains the highest standards of excellence.
Some of the modules in the Dental Assisting Program include:
- Dental Sciences and Basic Terminology
- Infection Control and Microbiology
- Chair Side Procedures
- Patient Records and Charting
- Dental Radiography
- Dental Specialties
- Oral Care
Job responsibilities:
- Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
- Preparing lesson plans and teaching aids that utilize a variety of teaching methods to promote student success.
- Monitoring and discussing students’ progress with them individually and as a group.
- Assigning and posting grades.
- Supervising work placements.
Qualifications:
· Dental Assisting diploma, or be a Registered Dental Assistant in Nova Scotia
· Must have 5 years of experience in the field.
A Criminal Record and Social Media check will be conducted.
