Business Instructor

The Business Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering
course content in classroom and online when required, this incudes, preparing,
organizing and implementing course materials, using appropriate educational
approaches and techniques: adult learning methodologies, multi-media presentations
and incorporating technology into learning process according to college standards.

Responsibilities:
ï‚· Extensive experience in all aspects of business as well as human resources.
ï‚· Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the philosophy,
goals and objectives as outlined in the adopted course study.
ï‚· Provide motivating and engaging course content to adult learners.
ï‚· Provide effective teaching strategies and maximize time on tasks. Create a
classroom environment conducive to learning by employing a variety of
appropriate teaching strategies for adult learners.
ï‚· Base the evaluation of students on the guidelines established by the College.
ï‚· Ensure that the evaluation of students is appropriate.
ï‚· Keep accurate and complete records of student performance.
ï‚· Ensure all evaluation records are regularly updated.

ï‚· Prepare final examinations in accordance with guidelines established on the
course outline.
ï‚· Provide timely feedback to students regarding academic progress.
ï‚· Report any student failures, provide progress reports, and update course marks
in a timely manner.
ï‚· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education:
ï‚· The successful candidate will hold a diploma or degree in business,
or commerce.

Experience:
ï‚· The successful candidate requires a minimum of 24 months of working
experience in their field of study to qualify as an industry instructor. Additional
experience may be considered in place of formal education with a Diploma or
Degree.

ï‚· Demonstrates integrity, credibility, confidentiality, and responsibility in all interactions.
Possesses high ethical standards and an honest, open, and consistent approach to
working with peers, employees, and staff. Completes what he/she commits to doing.
 Communications Skills – Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal, and written
and expresses thoughts in an organized, concise manner. Actively listens to the issues of
others in a manner that elicits cooperation and support.
 Organizationally Astute – Is diplomatic and tactful; non-confrontational; recognizes
internal and external sensitivities; has an intuitive ability to read the political
implications of recommendations and actions; uses sound judgment.
ï‚· Technologically savvy- A good understanding of computers, (i.e Microsoft products,
Moodle, and LSM systems as well as record management.)
Salary:
ï‚· Salary/hourly rate is based on an individual base of professional and adult
teaching experience, and education and certifications

ï‚· You will be required to teach in person at our Sydney Campus.
