You enjoy trying new hairstyles and looks on yourself or the latest hair techniques.
The Cosmetology – Hairdressing program (Hair Stylist program) at CBBC Career College will allow you to do all of this. Throughout the program, you will have earned your Cosmetology diploma, enabling you to work as a hairstylist throughout the province. We will prepare you to be career-ready and to meet the requirements to earn your cosmetology license through the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia. Throughout the Cosmetology-Hairdressing program, industry experts will come and instruct through theory and hands-on workshops in order to help you learn the latest in the beauty industry. You will get hands-on practice throughout your program, both in labs and also in-clinic experience, at our CBBC Training Salon & Spa in Sydney, Nova Scotia and our Regency Training Salon & Spa in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You will be able to work with products like Redken, Reuzel, Quinessence, CND Nail Polish, and Bodyography.
Job Market
Hairdressers and cosmetologists often work in salons, spas, beauty centers, and wellness facilities. Alternatively, they have opportunities for specialization, allowing them to cater to specific client needs and interests. This may include specializing in bridal hairstyling, creative colour techniques, men’s grooming, or skin care.
