The number of dentists in Nova Scotia has been increasing, resulting in a shortage of dental assistants. Currently, jobs for trained and qualified dental assistants are plentiful making this a fantastic industry for anyone who is looking for a new career.

However, it isn’t always that easy. Nova Scotia is a big province with many of the vacancies located in small towns that don’t have the proper colleges and schools to provide training. CBBC Career College is working to fix that and break down the geographical barriers that someone wanting to enter this exciting field may face!

Our NEW Dental Assisting Program (Distance)  consists of online clinical instruction and a work term placement (at a dental office) throughout the program. This unique offering combining online learning, and in-office learning makes it much easier for students to learn in their hometowns, wherever they may be! Students will spend two days per week in a work-term placement at a dental practice, as well as three days per week of highly structured, remote, and instructor-led online learning.

Students also spend five weeks at CBBC’s dental clinic –  a short stay away from home that will be much easier to manage than a year away!

Why choose CBBC Career College and the NEW Dental Assistance  Program (Distance)?

There are so many reasons! This program is flexible with start dates every quarter. Students get hands-on training that will look great on a resume and this unique offering may even help students to graduate with a job! Plus, CBBC has a wonderful history of providing dental assistant training. Our on-campus students have a 99% pass rate on their first try of the NDAEB Board Certification Exam.

They can train in your clinic and grow their career under your supervision.

You may also know someone in the community that would make a great dental assistant. Offer them the same opportunity! You’ll breed employee loyalty and do a huge favour for your clinic in the long run.
